Frequently Asked Questions
Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on helping people participate more effectively in their everyday lives.
“Occupations” are the activities that fill your day — managing work or school demands, staying organized, maintaining routines, regulating emotions, sustaining focus, and navigating relationships.
OT looks at the gap between what you want or need to do and what’s getting in the way — and provides practical, individualized strategies to bridge that gap.
Some common concerns I address are:
Executive Skills Challenges
Anxiety and Overwhelm
Perfectionism
Procrastination
People-Pleasing
Low Self-Worth
Burnout
Values/Identity Exploration
Life Transitions

Yes. Occupational Therapists are regulated health professionals and may provide psychotherapy within their scope of practice. My work integrates both occupational therapy and psychotherapy approaches to support emotional regulation, executive functioning, and daily life challenges. I have completed additional training specific to Adult ADHD, and in psychotherapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFIT). I engage in ongoing professional development to ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-informed care.
